Miss Charity's Shuffles and Chaines Dance Academy adheres to a strict dress code policy.  

Required attire:

• Black PLAIN/SOLID leotard (NO attached skirts or unitards allowed)
• Soft ballet pink tights-footed or convertible (no footless)
• black Mary Jane strap or tie tap shoes (Bloch or Capezio brand ONLY) No oxford style shoes, please.
• pink leather ballet slippers
• K-1st ONLY: assigned class level hip aligment belt (to be purchased at studio)
• NO skirts in class. Dancers may have sweater warm-ups (leg-warmers, etc…) before class or during cold weather.
• Hair MUST be pulled back into a TIDY ballet bun for class; short chin length hair must be pulled back in a headband. Please use hair pins to securely pull back bun.
• BOYS: black dance pants or shorts, white plain fitted T-shirt, black oxford tap shoe, black leather ballet slipper. Boys with longer hair must secure back in ponytail or with headband.

• Assigned class level hip aligment belt (to be purchased at studio)
• Modern ONLY: suggested to wear a long-sleeved black studio logo T-shirt  (for floor work). This is the only shirt they may wear during class and will be $20.00. Info available in August.
• Jazz and Modern ONLY: optional solid black dance pants may be worn.  NO gym/soffe shorts allowed
• NO skirts in class. Dancers may have sweater warm-ups (leg-warmers, etc…) before class or during cold weather.  
• Hair MUST be pulled back into a tight, tidy ballet bun for class; short chin length hair must be pulled back in a headband. Buns MUST be secured firmly with hair pins
• BOYS: black dance pants or shorts, white plain fitted T-shirt, black oxford tap shoe, black leather ballet slipper. Boys with longer hair must pull back in a ponytail or with a headband.  Boys in ballet (ages 12+) must wear a mens dancebelt to class. Please ask for more information.

Shoes: 

• Ballet Level 3-4 : pink leather or canvas ballet slippers
• Tap Level 3-4: Black full sole oxford taps (see email for more information)
• Jazz Level 3-4: Bloch Pulse in tan
• Modern: convertible tights, be prepared to dance barefoot
• Pointe: will be guided on correct shoe once dancer is placed into Pointe.
• TR Classes: will be sent required shoe information
• BOYS: black oxford taps (Capezio or Bloch), black leather or canvas ballet slipper, black jazz shoe.
