Classes and Registration

Miss Charity's Shuffles and Chaines Dance Academy offers Early Childhood and Development Dance Programs. Students are placed according to age, ability and maturity level. Our number one priority is the student’s learning experience.

Development Dance Program

Level Descriptions:

  • Development Classes, for dancers second grade and up, are divided into four levels (1-4) with level 1-most basic and 4-most advanced. Within each level, there are ‘grades’ (A-C).
  • Your dancer should progress through each grade within a level before moving on to the next, unless otherwise directed by your instructor.
  • Example, a 2nd-4th grader at the studio would start in level 1A and then advance to 1B the following year.   Each year, the student would advance one ‘grade’ (A-C) if taking the same discipline as the previous  year.
  • If you have a question regarding class placement, email If you enroll in a class that we feel is not well suited for your dancer, we will contact you to discuss what is best for your child.

Please note, teacher recommendation are by invitation only, and are progressing at a much more intense and quicker pace.  Students must have a recommendation from instructors prior to registering. All students being considered for recommendation classes for the  2021-22 season will be notified via email prior to July 20th.
